I’m Terri Goodwin, owner of Bright River Studio founded in 2010. As an independent artist in West Seattle, I built and maintain my studio to craft unique pieces that combine my passion for ceramics, tile, mosaic and concrete with the inspiration of the Pacific Northwest.
I earned a BA in Design from UCLA and spent my early career as a graphic designer for small companies in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle. Making my ideas come to life through clay has set me on a path of creativity and experimentation. Embedding my tiles into concrete has proven an ideal way to show off their interesting shapes and bright glazes. Working from raw materials, my creative approach continues to evolve through observations and the endlessly inspiring patterns of nature that are a part of everyday life. I am honored that so many people find joy through my work.
